Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Barbour County Criminal History does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain an email or contact submission as needed to respond. It remains within the organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.

It provides general directions to records held by the Barbour County Sheriff's Office, the county courts, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Criminal History Repository, and the Alabama Sex Offender Registry. The site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor information is not compiled into a consumer report or a record about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted there is governed by that provider's privacy policy, retention rules, and sharing practices. Those policies are not controlled by Barbour County Criminal History. Review them before entering a query.

Links may lead to Barbour County offices, Alabama agencies, court systems, legal-help resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's privacy terms apply. Read those terms before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select ads. Their tracking does not run under this policy.
